Writers in the Schools (WITS) will be hosting end-of-residency student readings for Madison, Wilson, and Cleveland High Schools at local bookstores and coffee shops this month. Students have spent the fall semester working with a professional writer-in-residence to create and revise poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. All readings are free and open to the public; we would love to have you join us!

.Wilson High School students will read at
Annie Bloom’s Books on
Thursday, January 17 at 7:00 pm. These students worked with fiction writer Carmen Bernier-Grand and playwright Hunt Holman.
Cleveland High School students will read at
TaborSpace on
Thursday, January 24 at 7:00 pm. These students worked with fiction writer Sara Jaffe, cartoonist John Isaacson, and novelist
Mark Pomeroy.
