Bestselling author Ann Patchett has written six books including the novels Bel Canto (2002) and Run (2007). Her first work of nonfiction, Truth and Beauty (2004), is an intimate memoir of her friendship with fellow writer Lucy Grealy. Patchett shares a correspondence through letters with Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love (2006). The two will share our Portland stage to discuss friendship and the writing process.
