Poetry in Motion® is Back!

On Tuesday, April 6th, we unveiled eight new Poetry in Motion poems—two by Portland Public high school students from our Writers in the Schools program, three poems by Oregon Book Awards finalists and three other poems chosen by public vote.

Jennifer Yocom, Director of Arts & Culture from the Mayor’s office, presented the Mayor’s proclamation for Poetry in Motion. Oregon Poets, Judith Barrington and Paulann Petersen opened the event with a reading.

Look for Poetry in Motion poems on over 200 buses around town!
