Old Person Elizabeth Woody

Stoking the fire, boiling the water for cooking.
Telling a moment the time.

Traded words are beads or buttons,
sewing the moccasins
to make care a covering.

The soft palms of grief and comfort, a pair,
enfold the downturned face.
