Anthology

Since 1999, Literary Arts has published an annual anthology of selected poems and prose from Writers in the Schools (WITS) students. Always provocative, always endearing, the WITS anthology gives a wide array of students the opportunity to showcase some of the best creative writing in Portland.

Being published is thrilling for writers of any age. Publication provides writers with validation, encouragement and exposure to a larger audience. Each year, WITS publishes an annual anthology of exemplary student work. No One Carries An Umbrella Here showcases poetry, prose, drama and comics written by high school students from all of Portland’s public high schools in 2010-2011.
